About the Festival

What began in 2007 by William Merritt of Merritt Estate Winery, the America’s Grape Country Wine Festival has bloomed into a wine industry cornerstone in Western New York.

Dozens of wineries from across New York State travel to the area to sample and sell their best-selling wines to consumers from the tri-state, twin-tier region. Joined by artisan food producers, handmade craft vendors and several sponsors, the wineries proudly display their products that (in many cases) have spent decades in the making!

The festival was first held in 2008. Thousands of visitors have attended through the years and thousands were pleased! New to the festival in 2011 was a headline concert in the grandstands of the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds featuring Sean Patrick McGraw and Uncle Kracker! Over 1,500 people gathered to hear the national performer’s belt out popular songs from the radio under the bright lights.
